So what do you do when you have 10 scoops of dirt sitting in your backyard and you are a kid? Dig for treasure of course.

Getting Ready for Summer
We have been members of our local pool for several summers. My children have always loved being in the water. I think this summer will be the year that Ian finally get out of his back pack. He is trying so hard at swimming lessons.

To Play Like A Child
Today, I was working outside edging the yard and my 2 year old was outside with me. I was busy trying to get as much done in the short period of time that I had while making sure my daughter was safe. As I took a break, I just watched her play. She dug in the dirt, threw dirt in the air, and just had fun without a care in the world. It made me think, when did it happen? When did we forget how to play and enjoy life like a child. I know it seems cliche, but we do have to stop and smell the roses (or dandelions like my daughter did). Life is to short, so remember to get dirty.
Luke's First Trombone Recital
Luke had his first trombone recital on April 22, 2013. He has only been playing the trombone since the summer of 2012 and has just recently starting playing in the school band. He did such a great job and we could not be prouder of him. Below is his performance. Enjoy!
This is his first song (Mary had a Little Lamb)
Here are his second and third songs (Frère Jacques and Pep Band Song)
